  34. The Physics package is a collection of Physics demonstration programs
  35. from the Physics and Astronomy Department in the University of Glasgow.
  36. These programs were originally written to demonstrate some of the concepts
  37. in the undergraduate lecture courses given in the department. They were coded
  38. in BASIC by Dr Sandy Watt as part of an ongoing computer assisted learning
  39. programme.  They proved to be useful both as lecturing aids and also for
  40. students to experiment with themselves and have generally been well received.
